A week at the Beach!!!
A very busy week on road lake this week with a lot of the smaller stock making a presence but nether the less P.Bs still got smashed.
We will start off with Jamie Robinson in Decoy who had a busy week fishing at 18 wraps towards Dunkerque and 16 wraps to the 3 trees to his right-hand margin both spots changing tactics from zigs in the day using black foam and yellow aligner then dropping them to the deck in the dark hours using D-rigs with snowman slk bottom bait and ns1 yellow pop up to compliment it feeding house maize over them. Plenty of maize going in often produce him 31 fish for the week including Nannas mirror at 44lb 2oz,Old Town Road at 41lb 10oz,Ringo at 42lb 10oz to name a few.
Next up we have Harry Dean in Brambles who landed 8 fish for the week fishing at 18 wraps towards the bonsai tree complimented by a D-rigs fishing snowmen using slk bottom baits and various coloured toppers putting in 10 spombs of slk Maize and Pellet before dinner and 10 spombs after dinner paid him back with the likes of new P.B Long common at 51lb 12oz,Ruby Murray at 45lb and After Work at 49lb 10oz.
Birches up next with Phil Bond fishing at 18 wraps towards Billys and found himself a spot to get going that soon started to produce landing him 8 fish Baiting often soon got him off the mark landing the likes of Lou Lou at 39lb,Mr Shady at 40lb and The Decoy at 47lb.
Mike in Goo soon kicked things of very early in the trip with a 39lb followed up with a P.B known as Cracker at 43lb a couple of nights later fishing at 14 wraps and baiting often yellow topped D-rigs done what was needed for him a great start for his 1st time in France.
We hosted Big George in Billys for the week who worked very hard for the bites especially after losing a couple early on but powered through to land a couple unfortunately they were only small ones, but he was happy the work paid off fishing at 24 wraps heading to Birches and 21 wraps to his right hand margin.
Dunkerque with Ben Yates got off to a good start fishing straight out Infront of him at 14 wraps landed his 7 fish after losing 3 fish on the bounce but soon pulled it back landing the likes of Ava at 45lb soon ticked some boxes to methods yellow being the winning hook bait.
Turtles Corner up next with Adrian Walsh Managing 4 fish all in the 20lb bracket fishing 21 wraps towards the Dot Island fishing with link boilies topped with a piece of fake corn fished over a bed of link and house maize.
Bacheliers hosted Mike Sewart for the week but the fish seemed to have different ideas as they were showing but not biting Mike managed to sneak 1 out weighing in at 43lb a fish known as Snooki caught 14 wraps out.
Beach is up next with Stu and Becky Clarke taking it in turns on the rods and working the swim hard and being mega active fishing 21 wraps all week black foam on a zig in the day served them very well spodding maize over the top got them constant bites then putting pva bags on at night continued the bites coming taking it in turns on the rods served them both well with Becky breaking her P.B a couple of times with the biggest being Huckleberry at 44lb 4oz but she also had Bomber at 42lb 6oz Stu also had Gilbert at 55lb 6oz that being the biggest fish of the week they also had a lot of smaller stock in total 41fish landed.
Jeffrey Wong went in Tea Party 1 and had a busy week being active spombing day and night landing 21 fish using a IQ 2 rig with a subtle hair sticky baits and house Maize fishing 21 wraps towards Turtles Corner and 16 wraps at the spire served him well landing Errol at 48lb,Stien at 40lb and Norfolk common at 39lb 8oz being the biggest of the trip for jeff.
It seemed the more effort that went in the more rewards was had not an easy week although the overall numbers was high the work effort was high well done to all the group a pleasure to bailiff such a great group of lads and lases.
