Week Commencing: Sat 19/08/2023
Weather Dependent!
This week started off with the fish not playing ball due to the hot weather but a midweek change soon made the difference and got the fish moving even with an epic thunder storm thrown in the mix.
Ben in Beach started things off early getting a zig out there to a showing pack off fish spodding over the top got him success straight away landing 2 fish upto 39lb out of 4 takes that evening then the fish had different plans and moved across the lake.
Matt Bell in Decoy had a tricky start losing 3 fish on the bounce then had a few quite days sticking to his spots and baiting little and often paid off towards the end of the week landing a new p.b with a fish called After work weighing in at 51lb 12oz.
Goo was next up with Matt that had a good week very consistent with bites through the week totalling 12 bites 11 landed hitting each bracket with 20s 30s 40s and even a 50 in the name of Dimond Geezer at 53lb 11oz which made his week as a new p.b for Matt.
Mark in Turtles Corner had a great week with consistent baiting led to consistent bites most fish came to a spinner rig size 4 hook and slow sinking maize. He started the week with a 20 then followed it up with lazys mirror at 39lb 10oz new p.b but not for long as the following morning beat his p.b again this time was 40lb 5oz Sticking with the little and often approach managed him 8 20s,2 30s,and 1 x 40.
Max in Billys had a good week with consistent bites coming most evenings from baiting every day with sticky krill and house pellets using a D rig krill wafter with a yellow topper. He landed 5 fish up to a new p.b in the name of Gilbert at 53lb 12oz.
Luke in Shingles got in amongst the action with a few bites but seem to have a pack of smaller ones feeding on his spots at 18 wraps.
Same goes for Malcome in Bachiliers and Lewis in The Birches
And Chris in Tea Party 1 landing a few each but none of the bigger ones.
A very tricky week for the lads but patience paid off after the big change in the weather and the fish started playing ball. A very enjoyable group of lads that was a pleasure to look after for the week.
Tight Lines for now
And all the best.
