Week Commencing: Sat 25/03/2023

What a surprise back in the Beach!

Slow week over on the road with only beach and decoy producing the bites to be starting with, but we did manage to get 3 vans stuck on Saturday afternoon which was the high light of the week.

Second week on the bounce there was only one place Alex parker was going and that was straight to the beach after picking out ball one with extra slings and nets. Didn’t take Alex long fishing out to the famous 21 wraps spot to the three tits he soon mounted up to 13 stockies by Tuesday morning. Alex switched up to more boilie into his mix to try and get stuck into some of the better ones resulting in not long after netting ‘Missing Link ‘ at 50lb 14oz and a new 50lb to add for the road lake. Bites didn’t stop there for Alex landing Scotties common at 42lb 4oz Le Defi 33lb 2oz, he finished the week on 25 fish landed all falling to spinner rigs with Gigantica p-isotonic specials 12mm pop ups. baiting consistently was the key using 60kg of mixed particle and 20kg of mainline cell crumbed and chopped into the spod mix.

Peter Golding was straight down the margin of Decoyto the 16 wraps spot with 2 rods with D-Rigs baiting up from the bund with mixed particle. Slow start for peter but he stuck to my advice after losing a big fish Monday he pressed the repeat button Tuesday morning and manage to land his new PB ‘Broken Tailat ‘ 52lb 4oz. following on with the repeat button peter managed one more big one with ‘ Porky ‘ being his next victim at 47lb. Quiete couple of days then for peter, but he did manage one more Friday night at 27lb to round of his week.

Chris over in Dunkirk had a very busy week being Alex net man but he kept the faith an landed his self a couple with the bigger one being a 29lb 4oz common. Fishing link pop ups on spinners feeding Link chop and hole bollies mixed up with mixed particle.

Michael and his wife fishing out Tea Party 1 was quick to ask me are you sure I’m doing everything right was quick to get a bend in the rod, fishing mixed particle all week keeping them spods going In at the right time, finished there week on 10 fish from the 18 wraps spot towards turtles with him waiting till early Saturday morning to land his new PB of 32lb common with an hour to spare!! Yet again fake corn doing the damage.

Dean over in Turtles had his work cut out with the wind thrashing into his face for majority of the week fishing the 21 wraps spot to the Dot Island soon picked up a new PB 36lb in the name off ‘The Boil ‘. With the wind not backing off dean dropped his left-hand rod down the margin fishing bags and managed to pick of a few more fish. Spinners done the damage for Dean on the long spot feeding maze.

Gigantica regular Nick fancied himself fishing the long spot at 28.5 wraps from Bachiliers resulting in just one bite Sunday morning. Nick carried on his baiting approach with 10mm cell boilies and mixed particle for the rest of the week but unfortunately the fish weren’t there.

Andy in Tea party 2 manage to nick a couple of fish back end of the week with the better one being 27lb common using the old faithful Gigantica specials 12mm p-isotonic pop ups on spinners.

Yet again slow week for the road lake but the lads gave it their all and never gave in. the weather is looking much better for next week so let’s see what it will bring.

Tight lines and all the best

Joe
