Bivvy’s Down!!

Its been a very rough week weather wise!! The winds have been horrendous with my bivvy deciding to take flight into the field behind shingles and Dave’s folding up in beach but that didn’t stop people from catching!

We will start off with David Huggy Hugh’s, Dave had a bit of a bittersweet week. He came out 6th in the draw and managed to land in Beach, it started of slow, but he worked at it, and he managed to get amongst plenty of them 19 to be precise. But halfway through the week his bivvy folded up on him from the wind, but fellow angler Wayne next door luckily had a spare in his van to borrow him. But in amongst them he had two 50lbers one being the Long Common at 54lb 8oz and the other being The Model at 50lb 8oz. Dave fished 21 wraps straight out with applying bait regally of the bund. Combi Rigs with fake maize done the job. But Dave’s week didn’t end with a bang and sadly his clutch went on his car, I don’t think Gigantica wanted to give him them fish without paying, a very bitter sweet week and I’m sure one he will never forget!

Then We have Shaun Stammer fishing in Turtles, he started of well landing a lovely 41lb 5oz mirror he went on to catch one more fish that week a nice old mirror at 28lb 10oz. This was all for Shaun but he still ended his week with a P.B and his mate had great pleasure giving him the buckets on the Friday. Shaun was fishing 21 wraps towards the dot island with combi rigs and fake corn.

Regular Dennis landed in Bachiliars he managed to land a 33lb common at the start of the week but sadly nothing after that. Dennis was fishing IQ-D rigs with fake maize at 20 wraps.

Another regular Gregg Bailie got his usual peg The Decoyand he fished well all week but he only managed to land a 19lb mirror on the final morning. They just would not move from that bund for him. He caught fish on a solid bag 16 wraps down his margin.

Me myself landed in shingles for a couple of nights but except from 4 Brocken poles in my bivvy I did manage a upper 20 common 12 wraps down my right hand margin fishing spinners with yellow isotonic pop ups.

Its slowly picking up over the road and hopefully it will continue!

Until next time

Tight lines

Ben
