Korda social!!!!

No not that one.

The Large stunning common carp that resides in the road lake and graced the bank at 44lb 8oz for Lewis Wheelan fishing out of “Tea party 1” this week.

Lewis backed this capture up with “Leslie” at 43lb and had another 6 x 20sto boot.

Slow sinking maize and wafters fished on spinners at 18 wraps towards Turtles Corner did the damage fished over maize and hemp and a little boilie.

Joe Morgan fishing in the Beach was also straight into big fish action slipping the net under “Big Scale’ at 43lb 4oz,

Also landing “Ringo “at 40lb 8oz, and “Walkers” at 39lb 8oz having another 6 x 20s and a Grass carp of 27lb.

I’m sure you are all sick of hearing about slow sinking maize and spinner rigs but fished over large amounts or house maize it was doing the do at 21 wraps at the three trees produced the goods.

Regular baiting at the correct times definitely was Joes edges this week.

Ben Shields in Dunkerque only had the 1 fish this week but it was a proper un being “Afterwork” at 45lb 4oz looking really well after a good spawn.

Ben used mainlines Shellfish and black pepper pop ups on spinners fished at 14 wraps on the back of a bar over boilie and maize.

Lloyd Wheelan in Shingles also had 1 fish “Andy’s Common” at 36lb.

Lloyd used wafters on combis fished at 18 wraps toward the dot island.

Gigantica regular Phil Brown was on pest control in Decoy having multiple doubles and 20s but struggling to get through to the bigger fish regardless of his work rate.

SSM and wafters on spinners doing the damage fished at 14 -16 wraps towards the bund.

All round nice guy Mark Jarvis fishing in Birches smashed his PB with “Darky” at 45lb 8oz something I knew meant the world to him ,not letting himself stray from the action plan proved the deciding factor(keep the faith matey).Mark backed this up with another 3 x 20s,fishing a mixture of SSM and wafters and tweaking his presentations at 18 wraps and fishing over maize and boilie delivered the goods.

Sean Littlefair in Tea party 2 managed to land 5 x20s and a 30 after struggling at the start of the week, he fine-tuned his rigs and kept working to land his bites all coming off popups over fishmeal boilies.

Not the easiest of weeks but definite signs the fishing is improving after spawning and very hot weather.

Just keep an eye on how much bait your using if you’re coming out these next few weeks guys as its going to be Scorchio with low saturated oxygen levels so the big hit of bait might not be beneficial to the fishing or the fish.

In these situations, it’s a case of using your heads, topping up areas only if your on fish and trickling it in rather than dumping it in.

Until next time,

Tight Lines
