Week Commencing: Sat 11/04/2015
This week was sure to be a good one with a full lake on the Road Lake, a group of lads from Ipswich all managed to turn up on time even with 3 of them in a broken van, good effort boys.
Saturday was a warm but overcast day with a strong breeze from the west with water temperatures at 8 degrees.
Scott started the week off just as dinner was being delivered with a cracking 37lb common caught out to the right in Decoy on a Solar pop up.
The following morning at 1am Justin landed a 30lb mirror on a single pink pop up out of Billie’s towards the closest overhanging tree.
Sunday lunch time and the temperature was climbing to the high 20's, Scott was in again this time with a 30lb mirror.
With people fishing the Snags Bay there was a lot of action, 3 fish out by 2pm.
Monday morning and Billies hooked into another pretty fish.
The weather was really warming up on Monday.
Tuesday morning and John in Birches and Scott in Decoy both caught 39lb carp. John had a mirror and Scott a common.
In Single Boards little John caught two 30's on his birthday. The morning was really warm with air temps at 25 degrees and water temps at 13 degrees.
The week was really warming up now with air temperatures at 27 degrees, not bad for the middle of April.
Wednesday morning and Nathan in The Cage hooked into a nice 20lb mirror.
Thursday morning and John in Single Boards had a pretty 38lb mirror, temperatures were still in the mid 20's.
Friday and Wayne started a cracking day in The Wall, fishing simple tactics but ending the day with 19 fish with the biggest at 27lb.
Gary fishing in Brambles finished his week with a 38lb common caught on pop up corn.
Lots of fish out this week for the lads from Ipswich, and the Road Lake is only just warming up.
