Week Commencing: Sat 27/04/2013

With the weather still not making its mind up to start spring or drag out the winter, the fishing is being dramatically affected.  By now we should be thinking about bait and hungry fish but instead it’s about how to catch these tricky carp in tough conditions.

So far the tactics have been small PVA sticks and a little amount of bait scattered or a single solid PVA bag of pellet. 

This week’s anglers started with that approach and spread themselves around the lake and caught very quickly and consistently throughout the week, with good numbers of fish to upper 20’s.

Mid-way through the week we had the arrival of the Thinking Tackle crew, who were filming for series eight of this great series.   These guys also got into action and steadily caught fish between them throughout filming.
